I had forgotten how much launching a website is similar to birthing a baby. The anticipation is great and exhilarating; the process is painful; the feeling when it’s over is … relief, pride and happiness. And you are TIRED.

I can’t possibly REALLY compare having my child to the birth of the first Michigan Patch site in Plymouth but it has been interesting riding that roller coaster again toward deadline, toward a launch, toward unveiling something and not quite knowing how it will be received.

Fortunately, there’s not much time to rest or breathe. It’s on to many, many more launches and making sure that the Michigan Patch sites connect with readers in their communities. I am excited and so very glad to have this opportunity to be part of something so exciting.
